candleholder / doorwedge / pencil fruit basket
Thick wooden disk, with natural finish, with a ring of brightly coloured pencils protruding upwards, enclosing fruit.
thumbnail of fruit basket with colouring pencils, seen from the side. thumbnail of pencil basket, seen from above. thumbnail of pencil basket with wooden feet, seen from below.

Careful now... pencils have sharp points. Insert point downwards into the slots. Position basket at a high enough level where it won’t form a landing hazard (eg: not on a low coffee table.)

To remove any pencil marks from the wood, simply use an eraser (rubber) or try a damp cloth wiped over a bar of soap.

Pencil Fruit Basket

Solid beech fruit basket made from sustainably sourced wood. Coloured pencils form a lattice, to hold your fruit in check. Previously exhibited in Ten XYZ at 100% Design, Sept 2009.

Pencils can be used & put back easily - they just slot into the holes. Supplied with 24 brand new colouring pencils.

Adjustable angles - choose to cross pairs of pencils over, or have them all pointing the same way.

Slim, wooden feet raise the base up slightly, so you can easily grip the basket to move it around.

Finished with natural, plant oil.
