Inspired by an ad hoc informality born of a power cut, (fixing a candle to an odd saucer with a drip of it’s own wax). Our candle-holder takes this to a safer level, whilst keeping the impromptu charm of using a ‘found’ object.

The saucers are all genuine antique, (or vintage) originals, dating from Victorian times through to the 1960’s. There are patterns, styles & colours to suit all tastes. Pick out the exact one you like at our online ‘Folksy’ store, or request a style & let us choose for you.

Each candle-holder comes complete with a complementary handmade candle, making an unusual green gift. The bespoke packaging is recycled and printed with our woodgrain design.

All wooden components are hand-turned here in the UK, from reclaimed wood. We usually use Oak, Beech, Ash & Mahogany. Occasionally we also come across Cherry, Walnut, Wych Elm & the distinctive London Plane.

These candle-holders are made by us, in our small studio, nestled in a beautiful Welsh valley
