We carefully handprint each graphic t-shirt
Some of our shirts have the size printed inside in ‘branch font’

We like to make our graphic t-shirt designs simple and unfussy. This involves some testing. It takes a bit of time and quite a few mistakes to get a print looking good.

Our screen printing frames are mounted with a general 43T mesh (43 holes per centimetre). This mesh is good for screen printing onto most textiles, as the ink goes through the screen well, without clogging.

However, when designing images, we have to be aware of the coarseness of the mesh. For example, on our Pigeon t-shirt, we initially made the mistake of having the text way too fine. We had real problems getting the ink through the stencil. It took us a while to get the feel for what size & level of detail would look good as a print.

low impact printing

We only use a water-based system for screen printing, so no solvents are needed to clean our screens. Solvents contain high levels of VOC’s (potent greenhouse gases) which have a major impact on global warming.

Additionally, our low impact inks don’t contain any PVC or phthalates, (which are known hormone disruptors & harm the eco-system).

Each handprint is fully fixed and UV stable. They are safe to machine or hand wash at low temperatures (recommended max. 40 degrees celsius).

Please use earth-friendly, non-biological detergent. (We don’t recommended drycleaning).
