Organic & fairtrade
We insist that all of our t-shirts are made with certified, pure
organic cotton; and choose suppliers that manufacture in sweatshop-free
conditions.
Box / Curve tees
Our chocolate brown shirts, in Box
and Curve styles are sourced from our
friends at ‘Saf’ (Socially Accountable Fabrics). They
are made using 100% organic cotton, grown, processed and sewn into
garments in India. The cotton is grown by a farmers’ co-operative,
and is certified organic by Control Union (formerly SKAL International)
and the I.M.O. Saf’s own supply chain is audited against the
Global Organic Standard, which includes a check against social criteria
such as no child labour, and that living wages are paid.
Zee / Skinny tees
Our shirt styles Zee and Skinny,
which come in a range of six colours, are sourced from ‘American
Apparel’s’ organic ‘Sustainable Edition’
range. Made from 100% organic cotton grown and processed in North
America, it's certified by USDA. The shirts are manufactured in
sweatshop-free conditions in LA, where the staff get free massage!
Organic farming
We choose certfied organic cotton, as it’s grown from GM-free
seed. It guarantees that pesticides and herbicides weren’t
used on the growing plants or on the soil. Additionally, choosing
organic textiles ensures that chemical finishing treatments weren’t
added in the processing of the fabric.

Global
warming
Conventionally grown cotton is one of the biggest users of artificial
nitrogen fertilizers, the production of which has a huge impact
on accelerating global warming. There is also a real problem with
non-organic cotton growers and surrounding communities being poisoned
short & long term by the chemicals used on their crops.
Biodiversity
As any organic gardener soon discovers; plants, the soil and co-dependent
wildlife flourishes after a few years of switching from chemicals.
This natural strength, together with traditional farming wisdom,
can often end up bringing in an equivalent or higher yield compared
to conventionally grown cotton. Importantly, the crop is produced
in a healthier, more sustainable manner that benefits the environment
at large, the growers and their local communities.
