Green Design
What will happen to the things we produce after they’ve been
used? We try to design our products and packaging with the future
in mind. A large part of this is choosing materials from sustainable
sources. This means insisting on certified organic cotton, sustainably
sourced wood, (salvaged or FSC-certified), recycled & re-used
fabric and ceramics. We also design for things to be dismantled
and repaired or re-used. In practice this could mean preference
of screws and nails over glue; using simple, accessible materials,
whilst encouraging practical creativity and showing how to make
things.
Green Production
Here at Loglike, we’re bothered about the people
who make our products and in what conditions they work. As much
as we can, we always try to ensure people, animals and the environment
aren’t being exploited in our name. We prefer to source materials
from ethical, environmentally aware companies, preferably with certification
to attest to fair pay, fair working conditions and environmental
consideration. We certainly haven’t got every aspect of our
business as good as it can get, but things are under continual review,
and we’re more than happy for any helpful suggestions.

Packaging
When designing our packaging, we’ve tried
to stick to biodegradeable materials that can be easily broken down
for recycling. We like re-sculpting corrugated cardboard boxes,
personalising them with our hand-carved rubberstamping. Brown paper
bags, tissue paper and cork are all favourite ingredients. Please
help us by recycling our packaging after you’re done with
it.

We’ve re-worked our scrap cardboard, left over from
the t-shirt printing process, into the packaging for our numbered
edition badge sets. This makes each set unique inside and
out!
